Born and raised on the coast of New Hampshire, Makenzie started her education in hair through a career technical program offered through her high school. After completing the three-year course, she became a licensed cosmetologist at 18. She worked directly under a master stylist at her first salon for 6 months and then began taking her own clients. She moved to Portland in the summer of 2020 with her partner and dogs, looking for a change of pace and all the beauty the PNW has to offer. Makenzie deeply believes that hair is an ever-changing industry and strives to provide her clients with both modern + timeless looks. She has taken countless hair-cutting and coloring classes through brands such as Kevin Murphy, Bumble + Bumble, and Oribe.
Makenzie is passionate about effortless, easy hair, and loves to create curated looks that work for the lifestyle each of her clients live. Hair serves as her creative outlet, and she is truly passionate about creating customized art for everyone who sits in her chair.
